In the last match of their Montaigu Cup campaign, China U-16 was defeated by Mexico U-16 2-0. However, the 4th-place achievement is China's best record in the Montaigu Cup. China U-16's best opportunity came in the 33', when Zhang Bolin's close-range shot was parried away by the Mexican goalie.
