Zheng Qinwen has been voted the WTA Fans’ Favourite Singles Player for the second consecutive year. At the end of the season, the Chinese player finished with a year-end world ranking of No. 24. After the Wimbledon Open came to an end, Zheng Qinwen underwent surgery on her right elbow due to injury, which forced her to miss several major tournaments, including the US Open.
