On the challenges in her academic study, Gu Aileen told Titan Sports about her philosophy: "I’ll fight it to the end—absolutely. But I think these are actually two different things. With a maths problem, you can dig in and wrestle with it without any danger; you can’t get hurt. In skiing, making that kind of choice would be a mistake."
