Montaigu Tournament: China U16(W) Reach Final

In the third round of the 2026 Montaigu Tournament in France, China U16 women’s team drew 1–1 with Mexico U16.

China finished second in the group stage with 2 wins and 1 draw. According to the competition rules, they will face Japan U16—who topped the group with three straight wins—in the final. This will also mark the second consecutive meeting between the Chinese and Japanese teams in the final of this tournament.
