WSC：Xiao Guodong Beats Zhou Yuelong 10–6

The second-session matches in the round of 32 at the 2026 World Snooker Championship continued, and in one of the most closely watched contests, Xiao Guodong defeated Zhou Yuelong 10–6 to advance to the last 16.

In the opening session, the two were evenly matched. Zhou took the first two frames, before Xiao hit breaks of 56 and 122 to level the score. Frames five and six turned into a tactical battle, with each player taking one frame to keep things tied.

Xiao then made another 56 break to move ahead. The next two frames were shared, and Xiao finished the first session leading 5–4.

In the second session, Xiao came out strongly with breaks of 52 and 62 to win two frames in a row. Zhou responded with two frames of his own to fight back to 6–7. From there, Xiao gave his opponent no further chances, compiling back-to-back century breaks of 115 and 128, and then winning three straight frames to seal a 10–6 victory and book his place in the last 16.
