The 2026 World Women’s Snooker Championship is currently being held in Dongguan, China. In an all-Chinese clash in the second round of Group G, defending champion Bai Yulu defeated He Danni 3-1 to secure her second consecutive victory.

If Bai goes all the way to win the title, she will not only complete a hat-trick of World Women’s Championship crowns, but also retain her position as women’s world No. 1 and earn another two-year WST tour card — a goal she has long dreamed of achieving.
Earlier, in the qualifying rounds for the World Snooker Championship, Bai claimed the first professional victory of her career. In doing so, she also became the first female player since Reanne Evans in 2017 to win a match at the World Championship.
Bai said that Wu Yize’s World Championship triumph had given her great inspiration:
“I watched Wu Yize’s matches at the World Championship. He was born in the same year as me. Watching him play, especially in the final, you could really feel how calm and composed he was. That kind of aura only comes from genuine self-confidence, and I think there’s a lot for us to learn from in that.”
