
On the evening of May 13 (Beijing time), the first meeting of the International Table Tennis Federation Athletes’ Commission was held, during which the chairperson election took place. Chinese player Liu Shiwen and English player Paul Drinkhall were jointly elected as Chairpersons of the ITTF Athletes’ Commission.

All members of the newly formed ITTF Athletes’ Commission attended the meeting and completed the election of the new chairpersons through the Lumi system. Liu Shiwen was re-elected as Chairperson of the ITTF Athletes’ Commission, while Paul Drinkhall was elected for the first time. According to the ITTF’s new constitution, both will serve on the ITTF Executive Board as athletes’ representatives, directly conveying the voices of players to the highest governing body of table tennis.
As Chairpersons of the Athletes’ Commission, Liu Shiwen and Paul Drinkhall will represent athletes on the ITTF Executive Board, ensuring that players’ perspectives remain at the core of decisions shaping the future development of table tennis.
