
In the women’s doubles semi-final of the 2026 Badminton World Championships, the Chinese pair Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning came from behind to defeat the home team duo T. Jolly and G. Gopichand, advancing to the women’s doubles final.

In the first game, both sides were evenly matched at the start. The Chinese duo once led 12–7, but the Indian pair caught up continuously, narrowing the gap. The two sides battled until the end of the game, but after leading 18–16, the Chinese team was overtaken by a 5-point streak from their opponents, losing the first game 18–21.
