Wu Yize out in last 64

In the last 64 round of the 2026 Snooker Wuhan Open, Wu Yize came back from 1-3 down to win three consecutive frames and was the first to reach match point, but ultimately lost 4-5 to Artemijs Žižins, ending his run in the last 64.

In this match, Wu Yize took the first frame, but then Žižins responded with breaks of 58, 85, and 85 points in succession, winning three frames in a row to lead 3-1 by the end of the first session. 

After the break, Wu Yize made breaks of 129 and 87 points to win three consecutive frames, turning the score around to 4-3 and taking the lead for the first time. However, Žižins made an 80-point break to level the score. In the deciding frame, Wu Yize got in first but made an error, and Žižins seized the opportunity to take the frame and win 5-4, eliminating Wu Yize.
