In the China Open women’s doubles final, Chinese player Zhang Shuai partnered with Kateřina Siniaková and lost 1-6, 2-6 to the No. 2 seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani, finishing as runners-up.

Dabrowski and Stefani served first in the opening set. After holding serve, they broke Zhang and Siniaková in the second game and saved break points to hold in the third, quickly establishing a 3-0 lead. Zhang and Siniaková held serve in the fourth game to avoid a first-set sweep, but Dabrowski and Stefani broke again in the sixth game and won the set 6-1 after holding serve.

In the second set, Zhang and Siniaková served first but were immediately broken twice, as Dabrowski and Stefani surged to a 4-0 lead by combining holds and breaks. Zhang and Siniaková held serve in the fifth game and broke back in the sixth to narrow the gap to 2-4, but Dabrowski and Stefani broke serve again to lead 5-2 and served out the match in the next game. Dabrowski and Stefani took the second set 6-2, winning the match 2-0 to claim the China Open women’s doubles championship.
Notably, this win marks the seventh title for Dabrowski and Stefani as a team, including their third WTA 1000 trophy. At the same time, they ended Zhang and Siniaková’s undefeated 13-0 partnership run this season.
