All matches on Day 4 of the 2026 World Snooker Tour International Championship have concluded, with five Chinese players—Zhao Xintong, Chang Bingyu, Ding Junhui, Fu Jiajun, and Fan Zhengyi—advancing to the quarterfinals.

The Chinese contingent made up half of the last 16, including Zhao Xintong, Chang Bingyu, Ding Junhui, Wang Xinbo, Fu Jiajun, Si Jiahui, Yuan Sijun, and Fan Zhengyi, with several young players delivering impressive performances.
The most anticipated match of the round featured Ding Junhui against Stephen Maguire, which began in the evening session. Ding, regaining his touch in Nanjing, had pulled off a comeback against Zhang Anda in the previous round and faced Scotland’s Maguire, who had eliminated defending champion Wu Yize. In the first session, the two were level at 2-2. After the interval, Maguire pulled ahead 5-4 to hold match point. In the tenth frame, Maguire missed a key chance, allowing Ding to force a decider. In the final frame, both players battled into the colors, and after Maguire missed the blue to the middle pocket, Ding completed a dramatic 6-5 comeback victory—his third consecutive win over Maguire. Ding Junhui will next face Kyren Wilson for a place in the semifinals.
