The State General Administration of Sports publishes Sports Development Planning for the 14th 5-year Plan. The goal for Chiense football during 2021-2025: 1st-tier team in Asia for men's team, an Asian superpower for women's team. The number of registered football players is expected to reach 1.5m by 2025.
