Guangzhou defeat Hebei 1:0 through Yang Liyu's goal in the last game of the first phase. In the 10 matches, the erstwhile CSL superpower lost all games except 2 wins over Hebei, another team in pathetic financial situation. With only 6 points, they are struggling in relegation zone.
