Shanghai Port tied with Johor Darul Ta'zim 2:2 in the opener of the 2024-25 ACL. Though most Shanghai Port fans were disappointed, Kevin Muscat, the head coach, appeared to be satisfied, "We fell behind twice and came back to equalize twice. In the end, our team's efforts earned us a draw."
