Ma Ning & Fu Ming made debut in the 2025 CWC

After Zhou Tong made Chinese players' debut in the FIFA Club World Cup, Ma Ning and Fu Ming, the two Chinese elite referees, made their debut in the tournament. In Flamengo's 2:0 victory over Espérance Sportive de Tunis as the first match of the Group D, Ma Ning served as the fourth official, while Fu Ming was the assistant VAR.
