Shanghai Shenhua have officially announced a two-year contract extension with head coach Leonid Slutsky, keeping him at the club until the end of 2027. The 54-year-old Russian coach took charge of Shenhua in December 2023 and has since led the team in 64 official matches: 10 in the AFC Champions League Elite (4 wins, 1 draw, 5 losses), 46 in the Chinese Super League (36 wins, 7 draws, 3 losses), 6 in the Chinese FA Cup (5 wins, 1 loss), and 2 in the Chinese Super Cup (2 wins). Under his leadership, Shenhua claimed the Chinese Super Cup title in each of the past two years.
