Wang Xinyu out from the U.S. Open

Wang Xinyu lost 2-6, 2-6 to the 13th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, bowing out in the second round of the US Open women's singles for the second straight year. This also marked the end of her Grand Slam campaign this season: she was knocked out in the first round of both the Australian Open and French Open, and in the second round at Wimbledon and the US Open.
