Sun Yang's 8-year freestyle record is broken

At the Korean National Sports Festival, 22-year-old swimmer Hwang Sun-woo delivered a stunning performance in the men’s 200m freestyle final, winning the gold medal with a time of 1 minute 43.92 seconds and securing his third consecutive title in the event. The previous Asian record of 1:44.39, set by China’s Sun Yang at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, had stood for eight years.
