Fan Zhiyi: Chinese football chance in 2038

At a year-end event, Fan Zhiyi reflected on the future of Chinese football.

“This resolve—this passion—must not slacken. No matter how much pressure comes from the fans or from our opponents, the first thing is to keep your spine straight. If we’re not good enough, then we’re not good enough—that’s fine. But whatever the circumstances, preparation in every cycle must be done properly,” the legend said.

He concluded on a note of long-term optimism:

“I believe that by 2038, we will have our chance.”
