Zhang Shuai wins Australian Open champion

At the 2026 Australian Open women’s doubles final, fourth seeds Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens survived a tense test of nerves. Despite twice failing to serve out the match, they still prevailed in straight sets, defeating seventh seeds Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunić 7–6(4), 6–4 to claim the women’s doubles title in Melbourne.
