Ning Zhongze wins the gold and set the record

At the 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics, China’s Ning Zhongyan won the gold medal in the men’s 1,500 metres speed skating with a time of 1:41.98, setting a new Olympic record. After winning the old, Ning Zhongyan said: "I never dared to imagine that I could win this gold medal today. Even now, I can hardly believe that I’ve really done it. At last, I’ve crossed that mountain.”
