China suffered a 2-0 defeat by Cameroon at the FIFA Series, in their second friendly match of the trip.
Cameroon settled quickly and, powered by the explosiveness of their young players and sharp combinations, repeatedly targeted China’s back line. China’s 5-4-1 failed to knit together in time and they found themselves chasing the game almost immediately, conceding twice inside the opening nine minutes.

The second half, a series of substitutions and a switch in shape gave China far more control in midfield, while their counter-attacking looked noticeably more purposeful. They also defended with greater stability, gradually shaking off the early pressure and pushing Cameroon back for long spells.
But despite a sustained response after the break, China could not find a way through and fell to a 2-0 loss.
