Shi Yuqi returns to world No. 1

Following the conclusion of last week’s Badminton Asia Championships, the Badminton World Federation released the latest world rankings. Shi Yuqi, who claimed his first Asian Championships title last Sunday, climbed back to the men’s singles world No. 1 spot with the ranking points earned from his victory.

Meanwhile, Liu Shengshu / Tan Ning and Feng Yanzhe / Huang Dongping continue to hold the world No. 1 rankings in women’s doubles and mixed doubles, respectively.

On the Korean side, An Se-young, who won the women’s singles title at the Asian Championships, remains world No. 1, while Kim Won-ho / Seo Seung-jae continue to top the men’s doubles rankings.
