Only one player trains as China camp begins

Only six of the 19 players called up for the new China women’s basketball training camp have reported to Beijing Sport University, and on the first training day only Zhang Mingzhu took part.

Liu Yutong, Li Xingnuo and Zhang Zihan returned to school for classes, while Wang Jiaqi and Zhang Ziyu are sidelined with injuries. The three Jiangsu players involved in the semifinals — Luo Xinyu, Zhang Manman and Sun Yu — will report on April 25, and the five players in the Finals — Liu Bei, Chen Yujie, Wang Siyu, Jia Saiqi and Tang Ziting — will join after May 1.
