
On the early morning of April 24 (Beijing time), the final spot in the last 16 of the 2026 World Snooker Championship was decided. China’s young player Pang Junxu was defeated 6–10 by Australia’s Neil Robertson, exiting in the first round.

A record 11 Chinese players qualified for the main draw of this year’s World Championship. Ultimately, Ding Junhui, Zhao Xintong, Xiao Guodong, and Wu Yize advanced to the last 16, with the Chinese contingent posting an overall first-round record of 4 wins and 7 losses.
At 21:30 on April 24 (Beijing time), Zhao Xintong and Ding Junhui will face off in an all-Chinese clash for a place in the quarterfinals at the Crucible Theatre.
