
In Group A of the Uber Cup, the Chinese badminton team defeated India 5-0 thanks to victories by Wang Zhiyi, Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning, Chen Yufei, Luo Xumin/Zhang Shuxian, and Xu Wenjing, finishing top of the group with three wins and advancing smoothly to the knockout stage.

Having previously brushed aside Ukraine and Denmark in succession, the Chinese team had already secured their qualification for the Uber Cup knockout stage. In this match, the Chinese badminton team continued to adjust their lineup. Wang Zhiyi played as the first singles player and took to the court first, facing former world champion Sindhu. The two battled for 87 minutes, with Wang Zhiyi narrowly winning 21-16, 19-21, 21-19 to earn the opening victory for China.
Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning, as the first doubles pair, then took the court. The pair took only 34 minutes to ease past Priya Konjengbam/Shruti Mishra 2-0, extending China's lead. Chen Yufei, the Tokyo Olympic women's singles gold medalist, faced stiff resistance from Isharani Baruah in the first game of her second singles match, but still held onto the crucial points to eventually win 22-20, 21-13. By this point, the Chinese badminton team had already secured a 3-0 victory.
In the second doubles match of the day, Luo Xumin/Zhang Shuxian partnered up against Tanisha Crasto/Kavipriya Selvam. After losing the first game 10-21, the pair rallied to win 21-12, 21-19 to complete a comeback. In the final match, young third singles player Xu Wenjing faced Devika Sihag. Also going through a tough three-game battle, she eventually came from behind to win 19-21, 21-17, 21-10, sealing a 5-0 victory for the Chinese badminton team in their last group match.
After the group stage, China finished top of Group A with three wins, while Denmark placed second with two wins and two losses. The two teams advanced together to the knockout stage.
