Strong Start! U16 China beat Uzbekistan 1-0

At 14:00 Beijing time on May 10, the 2026 CFA “Xing Tai Cup” Hohhot International Youth Football Tournament kicked off with U16 China facing U16 Uzbekistan. In the first half, Yuan Bohan tested the goalkeeper with a long-range strike, and Jiang Yuhan saved a one-on-one chance. In the second half, Ji Zhenghao won and converted a penalty, sealing a 1-0 victory for China.

In the 80th minute, China delivered a corner from the left. Ji Zhenghao was brought down near the near post, and the referee awarded a penalty. Ji stepped up and scored, making it 1-0.

Deep into stoppage time (90+2’), Uzbekistan launched a late siege, but Jiang Yuhan came to the rescue again to preserve the clean sheet.

China will next face Tajikistan U16 on May 13 at 19:35.
