In the men's singles final of the ATP Challenger Ilkley event, China's Bu Yunchaokete defeated Britain's Jacob Fearnley 6-3, 7-6(1) to claim the championship. This marks Bu Yunchaokete's second consecutive grass-court Challenger title and the fifth Challenger title of his professional career.

In their previous three encounters, Bu Yunchaokete had yet to register a win against Fearnley. In the first set, both players held serve for the first six games, leveling the score at 3-3. Subsequently, Bu Yunchaokete won three games in a row, combining holds and a break, to secure the set 6-3. The second set saw neither player able to break serve, pushing the match into a tiebreaker. In the tiebreak, after Fearnley took the first point, Bu Yunchaokete responded with seven consecutive points to seal the victory. With this win, Bu Yunchaokete not only secured his first win against Fearnley but also extended his recent tiebreak win streak to six.
Following his triumph at the Birmingham Challenger last week, Bu Yunchaokete has now won back-to-back titles, amassing a nine-match winning streak on grass. Over the two weeks, he has collected 250 ranking points, elevating his ATP ranking to No. 107.
