Squad adjustment for China Women’s Team

On July 31, the Chinese Football Association announced the squad for the fifth training camp of the China women’s national football team for 2026. The team will organize a training camp before participating in the 20th Asian Games women’s football tournament.

Compared with the previous training camp, there are significant adjustments in the fifth squad. Liu Chen, Wang Linlin, Ye Tong, Jiang Chenjing, Yan Qi, Jin Kun, and Guo Nan are not included this time; Peng Shimeng, Zhang Rui, Wang Ying, Yuan Cong, Sun Fangxin, and Si Yu have been called up for training.

At the 2026 Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya, the China women’s team is placed in Group G with the Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Hong Kong, China. The Philippines is ranked 39th in the world and is the highest-ranked team in the group apart from China. The first match will be held on September 14, and the final is scheduled for October 2.
