Ding out of Shanghai Masters quarterfinals

On July 30th, in the 1/8 finals of the Snooker Shanghai Masters, a Chinese derby took place. Ding Junhui was defeated 2-6 by Zhao Xintong and missed out on the quarterfinals. In a post-match interview, Ding Junhui talked about his current condition.

Ding Junhui said: "The best form—I think I definitely can't reach the kind of best form you used to see from me. I'm trying hard to adjust and to be as stable as possible. Although sometimes I try many ways to make myself play more steadily and to improve my scoring ability, sometimes I can't even control my own body."

"Sometimes, when I make mistakes on shots, even I didn't expect there would be such a big difference. This is what's different from before. For some tournaments, I will register, and for those I've entered, I will try my best, but I don't know how the results will be."
