In the eighth frame, Wu Yize completely lost his form as Gilbert scored another 50-plus break to win the deciding frame, ending Wu Yize’s campaign at 2-6.
Gilbert’s next opponent will be Zhou Yuelong, who defeated Liu Hongyu 6-4 in an all-Chinese derby in the second round.
