Chen Yujie sets new asian U20 record

In the women's 100m final at the 2026 National Athletics Championships, Zhejiang athlete Chen Yujie claimed the championship with a time of 11.08 seconds, breaking her own Asian U20 record.

In the women's 100m semifinal, Chen Yujie ran 11.25 seconds, ranking first among all competitors and advancing to the final. Sichuan athlete Liu Xiajun and Fujian's Ge Manqi became the next fastest with times of 11.32 seconds and 11.33 seconds, respectively. Guangdong's Liang Xiaojing also qualified for the women’s final.

Starting in lane six in the final, Chen Yujie gradually pulled away from her opponents after 30 meters, showing absolute dominance in the race. She won the women's 100m title at the National Championships with a time of 11.08 seconds, setting a new Asian U20 record. The previous record was also set by Chen Yujie, who ran 11.10 seconds at last year’s National Games women’s 100m, breaking the Asian U20 record at that time.
