WTT: singles quarter-final draw confirmed

The fourth day of the WTT Montpellier Champions 2026 took place on October 30 local time. Following victories for China’s Kuai Man and Zhou Qihao in the evening session, the quarter-final line-ups in both the men’s and women’s singles events were confirmed.

In the men’s singles, eighth seed Lin Shidong swept South Korea’s An Jaehyun in straight games to book his place in the last eight. In another match, wildcard entrant Liang Jingkun fought back from two games down to defeat France’s Simon Gauzy 3–2.

In the women’s singles, top seed Wang Manyu suffered a 0–3 defeat to compatriot Chen Yi and was eliminated in the round of 16. Second seed Sun Yingsha faced South Korea’s Shin Yubin in a five-game thriller. After twice taking the lead and being pegged back on both occasions, Sun eventually won the deciding game to secure her place in the quarter-finals.

The final two Chinese players to take to the table were Kuai Man and Zhou Qihao. Fifth seed Kuai faced Puerto Rico’s Adriana Diaz and made a strong start, winning the first two games. However, Diaz fought back to level the match at 2–2. Kuai then dominated the deciding game, winning 11–2 to seal victory.

In the other match, Zhou Qihao recovered from losing the opening game to defeat France’s Félix Lebrun in four games, completing a 3–1 comeback victory.
